REQUIREMENTS + EXPECTATIONS
Experience.
Associates must have experience shooting weddings as a solo + lead photographer. At least 1 year experience is a must. If you have less experience, you can still reach out for potential learning and growth opportunity.
Equipment.
Canon will be given preference. Multiple bodies + lenses, dual card slot, on-camera flash, memory cards also required. May be rented for weddings at your own cost. If rented, prior knowledge of equipment is necessary.
Knowledge.
Everyone shoots differently, and that is more than okay! If I am hiring you, it’s because I love your work and style. There are some things I would love to teach you if not known already like Kelvin White Balance.
Personality.
This is far more important than any of the above requirements. A great attitude and someone able + willing to take charge and give directions is great! BUT please be yourself.
Professionalism.
Show up to events, correspond with me (Josh), and interact with clients in a professional manner. Each job will be individually contracted to ensure you and I are both protected through the whole process.
Creativity.
Like I said, I’m hiring you for YOU! Yes, I will have a bend towards photographers with a similar shooting style to me, but I also want you to shoot in YOUR shooting style, not mine. Get. Creative.
PAYMENT DETAILS
$100 / Hour
You will receive $100 / Hour based on experience. As time goes on, there will be opportunity for increase in pay. Preference will also be given to associates I have had working, positive business relationships with.
30% Deposit
Once the client pays the deposit and you confirm availability + sign the contract, you will receive 30% down. If the client cancels, you keep that deposit. If you cancel, a full, immediate refund must be given.
70% At Completion
You will receive the remaining 70% at completion which is considered the delivery of files to the agreed upon terms. Any travel costs that may occur will be paid to you 1 week prior to the event date.
Job Details
All jobs are individually contracted. You have full rights to book personal jobs outside of Captivate Photography. All photos taken through Captivate are property of Captivate Photography. Photos may be used for portfolio building, though clients may not be tagged in the photos. All vendors, including Captivate, must be tagged in all Social Media postings of the photos used.
All jobs will be in the general vicinity of your contracted location (Los Angeles, CA or Scranton, PA). Any travel costs that may occur will be paid to you. Details will range and vary from job to job, but most jobs will be within 6-12 hours of work. During these work hours, you are strictly an associate of Captivate Photography though you may advertise your business as long as communicated as my associate.

30-40 RAW Wedding Photos from at least 2 different weddings showcasing different lighting scenarios. These ideally should not (though they may) include photos from the galleries previously sent above.
1-2 Vertical Portraits of you I can use for a bio.
